Northwood Hospitality’s collection of hotels stretches from coast to coast, from Los Angeles to Sedona, across to Washington DC and down to Florida. Through the years, guests have enjoyed our hotels as their favorite gathering spot, their home away from home and their place to celebrate life. And all along our dedicated team members have been there, welcoming guests and helping them create special experiences that produce long-lasting memories.
COVID-19 has suddenly and forever changed the world, deeply impacting our business but more importantly, drastically affecting the lives of our team members. These are the people who take care of our guests - housekeepers, front desk agents, bellmen, concierges, cooks, bartenders, maintenance teams, servers, bussers and beyond. While many of these roles are behind the scenes, these are the members who ensure that every detail is perfect for your visit with us.
Our hotels have followed all the social distancing practices, and, in a few cities, we’ve been forced to shut down for business as part of local government mandates. Furthermore, ordinances across all the destinations where we are present have required we close all restaurant and limit offering to take-out only, severely impacting our culinary and service team members. While some hotels remain open, the lack of business has forced us to run with limited teams and reduce hours and furlough team members.
In response to this crisis, Northwood’s senior leadership has started this relief fund for our team members. We are now opening it up to you, to help us reach our goal of $200,000, where 100% of the proceeds will be used for the benefit and support of the Northwood Hospitality team members who have lost their jobs due to the effect of COVID-19. The funds will help team members with essentials including food, shelter, healthcare, and more.
