Red Rock State Park

Explore the 286-acre Red Rock State Park with its nature preserve and environmental education center. Its trails wind through Manzanita and Juniper to reach the rich banks of Oak Creek. The creek meanders through the park, creating a diverse riparian habitat abounding with plants and wildlife. Located approximately 9 miles from the hotel, additional park facilities include a visitor center, a classroom, a theater, a gift shop, picnic tables, 10 developed trails, and restrooms.

Slide Rock State Park

An easy 10-minute drive from the hotel, Slide Rock State Park is a 43-acre historic apple farm located in Oak Creek Canyon. The park is named after its famous Slide Rock, where visitors can slide down a slick natural water chute, wade, and sunbathe along the creek. This swimming area is located on National Forest land. Tip: It's a perfect place for a picnic!

The Verde Canyon Railroad

All aboard for what is hands down the prettiest train ride you'll ever take. The Verde Canyon Railroad is Arizona's longest-running nature show, taking passengers deep into a scenic Arizona canyon aboard a fully restored vintage train. The four-hour excursion takes you on a 20-mile journey through 100 years of history. Comfortable seating, beautiful d�cor and friendly attendants add to the magic of the day. The Railroad is located approximately 25 miles from the resort.
